Flying into Lethbridge

Lethbridge (YQL) has a small airport which is currently only served by Air Canada for connecting international flights. You will always have to connect through the Calgary International Airport (YYC), which has excellent domestic and international connections. Seats on the tiny planes that fly from Calgary to Lethbridge fill up quickly in the busier periods, so it is recommended not to wait until the last moment in order not to end up with either a very long layover in Calgary or no flight to Lethbridge available at all. There is no public transit from the Lethbridge Airport into town. A taxi ride will take about 10 minutes to the Coast and Holiday Inn hotels and 15-20 minutes to campus and should not cost more than about $20-$25. Rideshare services are also active in Lethbridge now.

An alternative option is to fly into Calgary and rent a vehicle there to drive down. It is a little over a two-hour drive on an excellent highway. Or take the scenic Cowboy Trail along the foothills, which will take about 3.5-4 hours.
